About Alkatra

Alkatra is a display font designed by Suman Bhandary. Display typefaces are intended to make text stand out, making them useful for headings, titles, posters, banners, and other designs where typography plays a prominent role. Preview the lettering to see how it fits your project.

This release includes a variable style with a listed weight of 400. Its supported scripts are Bengali, Latin, and Latin Extended, allowing it to handle text in these writing systems. The font files contain 1,824 glyphs.

Alkatra font files are available in TTF and WOFF2 formats. TTF can be used in compatible desktop applications, while WOFF2 is a web font format for supported browsers. You can preview sample text on Fonts1 before choosing a format for your needs.

Use Alkatra on your website

Copy the CSS below. Option B needs the font files uploaded to a fonts/ folder on your own server first.

Option A: use the font directly from Fonts1 (no upload needed)

How to install Alkatra

  1. Download the font family (ZIP) and extract it.
  2. Windows: right-click the .ttf or .otf file and choose Install. macOS: double-click the file and choose Install Font.
