These terms explain the rules for using Fonts1. By visiting the site, downloading a font or using one of our tools, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What Fonts1 provides

Fonts1 is a directory of fonts with previews, license information and downloads, together with free online tools for styling text and converting fonts. We provide the site for general information and convenience.

2. Font licenses are separate from these terms

Every font on this site is the property of its designer or foundry and is shared under its own license, which is shown on the font page and included in the download. Your rights to use a font come from that license, not from these terms. Some licenses allow commercial use, and others, such as personal-use licenses, do not. You are responsible for reading the license and following it, particularly before using a font in client work, products for sale, advertising or software.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• resell or redistribute fonts in a way the font's license does not allow;
• remove or change copyright notices or license files from downloaded fonts;
• use automated tools to download large numbers of files, overload the site or interfere with its security;
• try to gain access to parts of the site that are not public;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else's rights.

4. Downloads and tools

Downloads are provided as they are. We check the files we host, but we cannot guarantee that a font will work in every program or operating system. Our online tools produce text and images in your browser. You are responsible for how you use the results, including checking the license of any font you used to create a picture before using that picture commercially.

5. Accuracy of information

We work to keep descriptions, licenses and technical details accurate, but mistakes can happen and licenses can change. The license on the original source and in the font file is always the final authority. If you notice an error, please tell us through the contact page.

6. Our content

The articles, descriptions, tools and design of Fonts1 are protected by copyright. You may quote short parts of our articles with a link to the source. Please do not copy our pages or republish them without permission. This does not apply to the fonts themselves, which follow their own licenses.

7. Advertising and third-party links

The site may show advertising, including ads from Google AdSense. Pages may also link to other websites, such as the original source of a font. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Fonts1 infringes your rights, follow the steps in our copyright policy. We act on valid notices.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Fonts1 and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the site or from a font you downloaded. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and termination

We may change these terms or the site at any time. Changes take effect when they are posted here, and the date above will be updated. We may block access for people who abuse the site.
