About Yomogi

Yomogi is a handwriting typeface designed by Satsuyako. Handwriting fonts bring a handwritten character to text and can suit informal graphics, personal notes, invitations, creative headings, and designs that benefit from a more casual typographic style. The overall effect depends on the words and layout, so previewing your own text can help you decide whether it fits your project.

The Yomogi font is available in one Regular style at weight 400. Its supported scripts include Cyrillic, Greek, Latin, Latin Extended, and Vietnamese, offering coverage for text written in these scripts. The supplied release contains 8,327 glyphs.

You can choose between TTF and WOFF2 files for compatible desktop software and web projects. The typeface is distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits commercial use subject to its terms. Enter a sample phrase on Fonts1 to preview the lettering before downloading the format you need.

Use Yomogi on your website

Copy the CSS below. Option B needs the font files uploaded to a fonts/ folder on your own server first.

Option A: use the font directly from Fonts1 (no upload needed)

@font-face {
  font-family: 'Yomogi';
  src: url('https://files.fonts1.com/fonts1/fonts/3079/e4fe10b0c2-yomogi-regular.woff2') format('woff2');
  font-weight: 400;
  font-style: normal;
  font-display: swap;
}

Quickest way to try it. For a busy production site, Option B (your own server) is more reliable.

Option B: self-host (download, then upload to your server)

@font-face {
  font-family: 'Yomogi';
  src: url('fonts/Yomogi-Regular.woff2') format('woff2');
  font-weight: 400;
  font-style: normal;
  font-display: swap;
}

2. Apply it

body {
  font-family: 'Yomogi', sans-serif;
}

How to install Yomogi

  1. Download the font family (ZIP) and extract it.
  2. Windows: right-click the .ttf or .otf file and choose Install. macOS: double-click the file and choose Install Font.
  3. Restart your design or office program, then pick Yomogi from the font list.

Fonts that pair well with Yomogi

Good design mixes two or three fonts. These are picked from a different style (a clean sans next to a script, a serif next to a sans) so they stay easy to tell apart and cover the same language.
