About Wellfleet

Wellfleet is a serif typeface designed by Riccardo De Franceschi. Serif fonts have small finishing strokes on their letterforms, making them a useful option for editorial layouts, book pages, articles, and headings. This category can bring a traditional typographic character to both print and digital designs.

The family includes one Regular style at weight 400. This straightforward style is suitable for projects that need a consistent text appearance without multiple weight options. Wellfleet supports Latin and Latin Extended scripts and contains 426 glyphs in its largest file.

Wellfleet font files are available in TTF and WOFF2 formats. TTF is commonly used with compatible desktop applications, while WOFF2 is designed for web typography in supported browsers. Preview your own text on Fonts1 to see how the typeface appears before choosing a format for your project.

Use Wellfleet on your website

Copy the CSS below. Option B needs the font files uploaded to a fonts/ folder on your own server first.

Option A: use the font directly from Fonts1 (no upload needed)

@font-face {
  font-family: 'Wellfleet';
  src: url('https://files.fonts1.com/fonts1/fonts/3051/bbff623ee2-wellfleet-regular.woff2') format('woff2');
  font-weight: 400;
  font-style: normal;
  font-display: swap;
}

Quickest way to try it. For a busy production site, Option B (your own server) is more reliable.

Option B: self-host (download, then upload to your server)

@font-face {
  font-family: 'Wellfleet';
  src: url('fonts/Wellfleet-Regular.woff2') format('woff2');
  font-weight: 400;
  font-style: normal;
  font-display: swap;
}

2. Apply it

body {
  font-family: 'Wellfleet', serif;
}

Fonts that pair well with Wellfleet

Good design mixes two or three fonts. These are picked from a different style (a clean sans next to a script, a serif next to a sans) so they stay easy to tell apart and cover the same language.
