About Zen Old Mincho

Zen Old Mincho is a serif font designed by Yoshimichi Ohira. Serif typefaces have small finishing strokes at the ends of letterforms and are commonly used in book layouts, editorial design, formal headings, and traditional print-inspired compositions. The category offers a distinct alternative to sans serif lettering when a project calls for a more classic typographic style.

This release includes five styles: Regular at weight 400, Medium at 500, SemiBold at 600, Bold at 700, and Black at 900. The range lets designers establish contrast between body text, subheadings, and prominent titles. The font is supplied in TTF format and supports Cyrillic, Greek, and Latin scripts. Its files contain 7,866 glyphs, providing extensive character coverage across these supported scripts.
